Dorothy Mae Snuggs (1921-2006) the daughter of John Sidney Snuggs Sr (1887-1926) and Flossie Bell Hardison (1894-1964). On September 10, 1940, she married Floyd Cockrell, the son of William Clinton Cockrell (1889-1961) and Jessie Fae Shaw (1902-1988). To this union was born one son & two daughters. When Floyd's sister, Juanita, died, the couple stepped in and helped raise her three year old daughter until her father remarried.

BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Cockrell was born May 15, 1921 in Vernon TX. She married Floyd Cockrell on September 10, 1940 in Sayre, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 1985. She was a longtime resident of Pampa and a member of Central Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend.

SURVIVORS: 2 Daughters: Sue Snider & husband Charlie of Amarillo, and Becky Currie & husband Neil of Canyon. 1 Son: Gary Cockrell & wife Betty of Glen Rose. 2 Sisters: Neva Bailey of McLean and Meryle Boose of California. 6 Grandchildren, 6 Great-Grandchildren, and 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 infant grandchildren, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
