Lyman Victor Garman was born at Lena, Ill.,
Sept. 23, 1858, and passed away Jan. 4, 1947.
He was one of ten children born to Susan and
Peter Garman.
He was married to Ida M. Hawkins on Oct. 25, 1882. To this union 12 children were born, three having died in infancy, Arian, Richard Earl and an infant daughter. His wife preceded him in death in 1909.
He is survived by the following children are: Notia Maude Kier, Lewis E. Garman, Frank Harris Garman, Eva Mae Peterson, Hattie Bixby, Florence Viola Griffin, Vera Lillian Stafford, Aridathol Harvey, Darrell Hayes Garman; 14 grandchildren, three great grandchildren.
Also surving are two sisters Ida Shellhase, and Mattie Salyard, and one brother, William Garman.
Burial in the Courtland cemetery.
