Funeral Services
Held Sat. for
Mrs. B.W. Fortson
Mrs. Ben W. Fortson, Jr., who had been in ill health for some time, died Friday night, at her home here. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 27, at 10:30 a.m. from the First Baptist Church with the pastor, Rev. Rufus Zachry and Rev. Leonard Swinney, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment was in the Arlington Cemetery under the direction of Kerlin Funeral Home.
Mrs. Fortson, a wonderful person, was a member of the Polyanna Club and had many friends who will miss her.
Survivors are her husband, Ben W. Fortson, Jr., two sons, Ben W. Fortson, III, of Glendale, Calif., and E.B. Fortson of Dallas, Tex.; two grandchildren, Stacey and Lisa Fortson of Glendale, Calif.
Also surviving are her mother, a sister and a brother all residing in California, and a brother residing in Salt Lake City, Utah.
