Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. David (Elsie) Sheetz, with whom he made his home, Joanne M. Lindsey, Mrs. Lee (Shirley) Williams and Mrs. Robert (Judy) Graham; two sons, George E. Jr. and John N.; one brother, Haywood; two sisters, Linda Cross and Bertha Faye Crank; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
He was a machinist in the Pekin and Peoria areas. In 1956, he moved to California, where he worked for Wayne Manufacturing Co. and later managed several mobile home parks in the Pomona, Calif., area.
