Survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Alice Mae Bergeron Dauzat, his children Elaine Dauzat Agamy and Michel (Mitch) Paul Dauzat, three grandchildren, Remy Agamy, Jeffrey Dauzat and Madeline Dauzat.
A native of Hessmer, LA and a former resident of New Orleans East for 43 years. A resident of Harahan for the past 13 years.
A decorated Army Veteran of WWII, he is the recipient of the Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart with Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster, European Campaign Medal with one silver service star and other medals. A life member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 37 and VFW, Post 3267, Harahan. A registered Radiologic Technologist, his education began at Charity Hospital of New Orleans, and continued at Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute, New York and Delgado College. Retired after 30 years of service from the VA Hospital, N.O. A former scoutmaster of Troop 209, N.O. East. An officer of the Pines Village Civic Association, N.O. East. Active as an officer of Louisiana State Radiologic Technology Society and was awarded an Emeritus Life Membership.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Chapel of Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Dr., Metairie, LA, on Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 11:00am. Visitation will be from 9:00am until 11:00am. Interment in Garden of Memories Mausoleum, Chapel of Eternal Faith.
