He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mae Bethel, of Logan; one son, George Henry Bethel, Herrin, Illinois; two sisters, Mrs. George Brown, Louisville, and Mrs. Osy Day, of Lansing, Michigan; five brothers, Arthur Bethel, Central City, Melvin Bethel, Gary, Indiana, William Bethel, Lansing, Michigan, Aubrey Bethel, Hammond, Indiana, L. B. Bethel, Griffin, Indiana, and four stepsons, Clifford, Harold Gene, John, and Junior Adkins, all of Logan, West Virginia. Burial in the Evergreen cemetery.
