Canandaigua, N. Y., June 2 - Abraham Clapper, a well-known resident of this village, died suddenly at Geneseo Friday evening, while visiting relatives. Heart disease was the cause of death. Mr. Clapper was 78 years of age and was born in the Mohawk Valley but had resided in this vicinity the greater part of his life, having been engaged in farming and other pursuits at Farmington, Canandaigua and Springwater. He leaves his wife, Elizabeth Clapper; four sons, Dr. William H. Clapper of Victor, A. Lincoln Clapper of Canandaigua, Arthur Clapper of Lakemont and Richard Clapper of East Bloomfield; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Skeels of Palmyra and Mrs. Edith Gardner of this village. The funeral was held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the late residence, West Gibson street.
