David Evans is listed as the head of household in the 1820 Census in Walnut, Pickaway County , Ohio with a large family of 10 males and two females. One male is over 45 years old, and we know David would have been 48 in 1820. The two females are over 45 years old, one being his wife Susannah Sayers Evans who was 46 in 1820, , the other probably being a mother or mother in law. We also know David Evans had 8 sons, which would account for all the male residents.
There is antidotal evidence that David Evans Jr. passed away in 1827, not 1814, the year his father David Evans Sr. passed, and the census records confirm this belief. It would be unlikely though not impossible for both men to have passed in 1814, and thus it is my belief also that he died in 1827. ED CATTERSON
