Booneville, KY – Abner Gabbard, age 71, and husband of Ruby (Noble) Gabbard, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013 at his residence in Booneville, KY.
Abner was born in the Cow Creek Community of Owsley County, KY on May 2, 1942 a son of the late Dan and Laura (Miller) Gabbard. He was a farmer, and attended the Cow Creek Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, 1 son; Keith Gabbard of Booneville, KY; 1 daughter; Janice Gabbard of Booneville, KY, 1 sister; Marie Bowman of Booneville, KY, along with many other loving family members and friends.
Abner was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers; Archie Lee and Paul Edward Gabbard.
Funeral Services will be held at the Booneville Funeral Home, Booneville, KY at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 with Pastor Dale Roberts officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2013 from 6:00 – 9:00 PM at the funeral home. Abner will be laid to rest in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Pebworth Community of Owsley County. The Booneville Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
