Born on October 28, 1926 in Tampa, Florida, she moved to the Central Florida area in 2007. Ms. Batman was a retired librarian and elementary school teacher in Pinellas County. Part of her career was spent teaching children of the United Stares Air Force personnel in France, Germany and Puerto Rico.
LuAnne was preceded in death by her father, Leo Jackson Batman, and her mother, Violet Jane Carothers Batman. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Jane Batman Lewis, her nephew, Timothy Bryan Lewis, her sister-in-law, Linda McKnight Batman and her brother-in-law, Ronald T. Peterson.
LuAnne is survived by her brother, Leo Jackson Batman, Jr. and his wife, Linda Dee, her bother, Jon Gerald Batman, and her sister, Jane Batman Peterson. She also is survived by many loving nieces and nephews and beloved friend of the family Gladys Earvin.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at noon at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, Ivanhoe Chapel, 301 NE Ivanhoe Blvd., Orlando. Family will receive friends from10 am till time of service. Interment is to be at Greenwood Cemetery following the service.
