Miss Comer Is Dead
End Comes to Beautiful Young Life in Eufaula

Eufaula, July 17 - Miss Nellie Comer died at the old Thornton home on Randolph Street in Eufaula at 4 o'clock this morning. She was the beautiful daughter of Colonel and Mrs. G.L. Comer of this city.
Her illness came in the beauty of her young womanhood, though all skill was rendered, she constatnly grew weaker until death came.
Miss Comer came from one of the most prominent families in Alabama, being connected with the Shorters and Thorntons of Eufaula as well as other well known men who have figured conspicuously in government affairs.
Survivors:
Parents: Col. and Mrs. G.L. Comer
Grandmother: Mrs. M.B. Thornton
Five brothers and two sisters as well as other relatives.
Funeral was from the home at 4 o'clock with Rev. J.A. French conducting the exercises. The remains will be interred in Fairview Cemetery.
