Clement was born in Lankin, ND, Walsh County, on September 4, 1922 to Jacob and Madeline (Helt) Sherek. Clement grew up in Lankin, ND. He graduated from Lankin High School on the 23rd day of May, 1940. Clement farmed with his parents, Jacob and Madeline Sherek in Lankin, ND. In 1943 Clement met the love of his life, Blanche Annette (Ackerland). They were married November 21, 1945 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lankin, ND. They moved to Fargo, ND in 1951, where Clement was employed as a salesman at Gamble Robinson. Clement was employed as a semi-truck driver and drove to many states over 35 years. He made many friendships throughout the country, and was affectionately called "Amigo".
The joys in Clement's life were many. He loved music, he played trombone, he was a wonderful dancer, and he loved to sing. He loved to make people laugh (he was quite a jokester). Clement had two horses named Prince and Pearl. He also could be found bull riding in rodeos. He loved watching his western movies, especially John Wayne and was given the nickname "The Duke" by his wife. He loved to play pool with his sons-in-law and grandsons. One of Clements greatest joys was spending time with his beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. His pride and joy was his wife, of 68 years, Blanche. She brought joy and happiness to his life and could put a big smile on his face at anytime along with his five very special daughters.
Clement suffered with many different health problems and surgeries over the years. Toward the end of his life he was in and out of the hospital. He suffered with aspiration pneumonia. It was his faith and his love of family that kept him going. Through it all Clement never complained.
Clement will be truly missed but never forgotten. Clement and Blanche had five daughters, Judy Kay (Robert) Zeeb, Wisconsin, Patricia June Sherek (Paul) Peters, Fargo, Debra Lea (Bob) Alm, Fargo, Linda Renee (Joseph) Dworshak, Wisconsin, Teresa Lyn (Donald) Zon, Fargo; 16 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Blanche Annette Sherek, who passed away on January 27, 2013, his parents, Jacob and Madeline Sherek, and great-grandson, Tyler Tweten, October 16, 2010.
