Born in Hartwell, GA, daughter of the late Jasper and Othella (Busbee) Bannister; widow of William Clyde Sewell.
A member of Southside Assembly of God (CrossPoint Assembly of God), where she was a charter member and had attended faithfully since 1939. She taught Sunday school and was past president of the Women's Ministry and the Bereavement Team.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who was dearly treasured and loved by all who were ever touched by her love. Her life was spent giving to others. Her profession was the care and rearing of her grandchildren.
Also predeceased by her son, Joe W. Sewell; daughter-in-law, Annell Sewell; four sisters; and three brothers.
Visitation was held from 5:00 - 6:30 pm, Sunday, July 3, 2005, at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 am, Monday, July 4, 2005, at CrossPoint Assembly of God by Rev. Randell Atkins, Rev. Terry Chapman, and Rev. Al Bucklew; burial in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
