Mary and husband Michael O'Connell had 11 children,nine living to adulthood. She grew up in Girardville and moved to Philadelphia with her mother and siblings about 1900. There she met Michael and they were married at St Anne's Church in Kensington. They lived for years on 2833 Gaul Street. Several people in the family lived there at one time or other and I visited there many times with my parents. And Mary died there.
