Death of L.P. Perkins
Lyman P Perkins one of Buffalo's widely known lawyers died last evening at the Homeopathic hospital a victim to Brights disease. Mr. Perkins had been ill for more than a year but only during the past three months has his condition been considered serious. Four weeks ago his symptons became so dangerous that it was advisble to take him to the hospital. The deceased was born Dec. 27 1818 at Ira Cayuga County, the State. When but a child his parents moved to Michigan then but a wilderness settling near Hudson, where he helped to clear up two or three farms. He attented school in Hudson, but to a large extent was a self educated man, never having had the benefits of a college education, as the Michigan schools in those days were of the most primary kind. He however overcame these obstacles and in due time was admitted to the bar and praticed in Adrian Michigan where he married Miss Mary L Sabin. In 1855 Mr. Perkins came to Buffalo where he has since lived. Mrs. Perkins died six years ago. He leaves three daughters and one son. Mrs. E.L. Terry, Miss Mary L. Perkins,and Earl Perkins of this city, and Mrs. C.S. Blackman of Minnesota.
