Amelia Benitez Arguijo, age 88, of Jourdanton, Texas, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2010, in Jourdanton, Texas.
She is survived by her daughters, Nora Elizondo and husband Gabriel of Pleasanton and Anita Flores and husband Joe of Pleasanton. She is also survived by her sisters, Velia Arguijo,Calistra Ortiz and Della Guerra all of Pleasanton, Sally Garza, Maggie Lopez and Josie Ramos all of Killeen; brothers, Valdemar Benitez, Sr. of Pleasanton, Jesse Benitez of San Antonio, Issac Benitez, Jr. of Pleasanton; grandchildren, Ellen Mendez, Daniel Elizondo of Pleasanton, Jacob and Adam Guzman both of Austin, Joey Flores of San Antonio, Zachry Flores of Afganistan; great grandchildren, Mallory Elizondo of San Marcos, Gabe Elizondo of Pleasanton, Makayla and Austin Mendez both of Pleasanton, Elijah, Jalen and Demi Flores all of San Antonio, Cori and Sydney Randalls both of Austin, and great grandchildren, Logan Palomares of San Marcos, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Porfirio Arguijo and parents, Issac Benitez, Sr. and Emilia Benitez.
Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home, 118 W. Oaklawn Rd., Pleasanton, Texas, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday, August 5, 2010. A rosary will also be recited at 7:00 PM on Thursday evening. A funeral service will be held at St. Andrew Catholic Church at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 6, 2010. Interment will be at San Ysidro Catholic Cemetery in Pleasanton, Texas.
