LeRoy Johnson, 85, of Pendleton died September 30, 2011 at a local care facility. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., October 7, 2011 at Pendleton Free Methodist Church.

Mr. Johnson was born July 21, 1926 in Pendleton to Luella Cisco Johnson. He graduted from Pendleton High School in 1944. He served in the Army during WWII and the Korean War. On May 2, 1952, he married Elsie Goode in Pendleton. He was a mail carrier for 35 years, retiring in 1981.

Survivors include his wife Elsie Johnson of Pendleton; sons, Dave Johnson of Pendleton, Tim Johnson of Pendleton; daughter, Elizabeth Cassens of Hillsboro; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother and a son, Paul Johnson.
