A HOME WEDDING
On Dec 14, 1899 at the home of Elder A. J. MCWHIRTER, a beautiful and impressive wedding occurred, the contracting parties being CHARLES A. TAYLOR, a substantial and enterprising citizen of Aberdeen Miss and Miss ARCENA MCWHIRTER, the cultured and accomplished daughter of Elder A. J. MCWHIRTER,. The happy young couple were united in the sacred bonds of matrimony by Elder J. C. CHAMPION in his usual impressive manner. The ceremony that made two hearts one took place at 6 o'clock p.m. after which an elegant supper was served, followed by music and pleasant social converse. Many friend were present to rejoice with those that rejoice, among whom were friends from the West Alabama Male and Female College at Eldridge. G. F. MCWHIRTER, MATTIE MCWHIRTER, sister of the bride, and G. B. HARBIN all join in wishing these excellent young people a life of much happiness and usefulness.
On Dec. 15 accompanied by MATTIE MCWHIRTER and JOHN TAYLOR, all arrived at Aberdeen, Miss; where the bride and bridegroom will make their future home, MATTIE returned home with a sad heart on parting with her married sister.
