Mrs. Ann S. Courson, 78, died Thursday morning (June 20, 2013) at Hospice House Satilla following a long illness.
She was a native of Jacksonville, GA but had lived most of her life in Waycross, Ware and Brantley County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Courson and her parents, Colley Steverson and Lettie Fussell Steverson.
She was a member of Crossview Church of God of Prophecy and the Dorcas Club of the Church. She was a former employee of Spatola Footwear and several other sewing factories in Ware and Brantley County.
Survivors include three daughters, Debbie Smart of Fleming Island, FL, Dianne Dell (husband Randy) of Brantley County, Carolyn Setser (husband Dennis) of Blue Ridge, GA; two sons, Mike Lee of Hoboken, Darryl Courson (wife Amy) of Brantley County; a sister, Lounette Sams of Woodstock; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday (June 22, 2013) at Crossview Church of God of Prophecy. Burial will be in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Music Funeral Home Friday night from 6 until 8.
