"Eben" Ebenezer Reed son of Samuel Reed and Jane (MNU NOT Gant) of Turkey Foot, Scott Co., KY. Ancestry.com has him born in Virginia. Federal Census's 1850, 1860, 1870, 1880 say born in Kentucky.
From brother James Reed, Kentucky Death Record in 1875 it says both Samuel Reed b. Delaware and Jane Reed b. Delaware. In the Ebenezer Reed Family Bible there is no
birth information for his mother Jane (?) Reed on her death in 1849. She is most likely
buried in the Family Cemetery but no tombstone for her.

1880 Federal Census says: "Ebenezer Reed's father b. England and mother b. Virginia". Samuel Reed was a hog farmer as per probate. Land owned in Scott Co., KY., was the land that Ebenezer Reed obtained from his father Samuel Reed, Lot #1 Eben Reed in father's Will and Land Division.
