Civil War Soldier 1861-1864.Joseph Abeene enlisted June 4 in the Union Army Company F Illinois 25th Infantry Regiment, later known as the Army of the Cumberland. Joseph engaged in 18 major battle.
He married Samantha Amitha Flesher(1845-1915) in 1865 at Watseka, Illinois, in 1890 they resided in Lookinglass, Douglas co., Oregon
