A graveside service will be held 12:30 p.m Friday at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island, those wishing to attend are to meet at 12:00 p.m. Friday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thursday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rock Island.
Marie was born August 15, 1919 in Petersburg, Neb., a daughter of William and Margaret German Bender. She married Frank J. "Blackie" Ryckeghem on April 27, 1946 in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on August 17, 1972.
Marie was a dietician at Franciscan Medical Center for many years. She retired in 1981.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rock Island.
Surviving are her three sons, Robert Ryckeghem, and his wife Linda, Oregon, IL, Dennis Ryckeghem, Milan, and Thomas Ryckeghem, and his wife Candi, Moline; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Ann Grzebielski, Omaha, Neb.; and many nieces and nephews.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband, parents, nine brothers and sisters, and one great-granddaughter.
