Jos. C. Clark died at his home near Wardell early Wednesday morning, August 18, after an illness at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 15 days. Funeral services were held at two o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Christian Church in Wardell and interment was in Portageville Cemetery with LaForge service.
Mr. Clark was born March 3, 1866, near Fulton, Ky. and had lived in the Wardell community for the past 23 years, where he was engaged in farming.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Minnie Clark; four sons, Corbett and T.P. Clark of Wardell, Chapter Clark of Portageville and Newman Clark of Neelyville, Mo.; and three daughters, Mrs. Lilliam Obzillo of San Francisco, Calif., Mrs. Letha Vardell of Senath and Mrs. Eunice Pemberton of Portageville. A son and daughter preceded in death.
