Town Wittenberg Resident Dies - Funeral Rites for Mr. Borchardt Will Be Thursday;
August F. Borchardt, 74, died Monday morning at his home in the Town of Wittenberg. He had been ill for three days.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Borchardt and was born on March 19, 1867 in Germany. He came to America 59 years ago and was married to Minnie Wagner. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Mr. Borchardt is survived by his wife, five children: William and Ella, at home; John, Town of Elderon; Mrs. Arthur Aavonson, Town of Wittenberg; and Mrs. Oscar Folstad, Town of Wittenberg, and 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services for the deceased will be held Thursday, July 17, at 2 p.m. at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Alvin Klug will officiate.
Interment will be at the St. Paul's church cemetery at Wittenberg.
