The Rev. George York will officiate with burial at Silver Cross Cemetery.
He died Saturday afternoon at the Vicksburg Hospital after a brief illness.
A native of Gloster, Miss., Mr. Betz had resided in Madison Parish for the past 40 years. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Methodist church.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Myrtis [sic Myrtie] Betz of Tallulah; two brothers, Julian H. Betz of Demdin [sic Dunedin], Fla., and Fred Betz of Gloster, Miss.; one sister, Mrs. Maydel [sic Maidell] Zeigler of Tallulah; two grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Walter Butler, Harry Wise, A. C. Ray, Leander Grace, Don Richardson and R. E. Fowler.
