OBITUARY :
CARSON LEE HALTERMAN, 83, of Quicksburg, Virginia, died Monday, June 17, 2013, at Harrisonburg Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Mr. Halterman was born February 3, 1930, in Mathias, West Virginia.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was a former police officer and security guard at Bryce Resort.

Mr. Halterman was preceded in death three days earlier by his wife, Pollyanna Neff Halterman on Friday, June 14, 2013.

He is survived by two half sisters, Mary Barb and Shirley Green, both of Quicksburg; and a half brother, Matthew "Peewee" Halterman of Toms Brook.

He was preceded in death by half sisters, Dorcas Halterman, Rhoda Halterman and Seanera Halterman; and two half brothers, James K. Barb and Floyd Halterman.

A graveside service will be private at Cedar Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Mount Jackson.

Pallbearers will be Marty French Jr., Bobby French, John Lam, Kent Burch and C. William Lam.
