PIONEER GONE

Mrs. Sarah A. Tweedy, née Zimmerman, long a resident of Warrick County, died Saturday, August 17, at the home of her daughter at Daylight, Vanderburg County, aged 91 years. She was born in Cumberland County, Kentucky, moving thence to Illinois after her marriage to William T. Bush in 1832. She witnessed the expulsion of the Indians from that state. Mrs. Laura Rowland, at whose home she died, is the only surviving issue of this union.

In 1840 she contracted a second marriage, this time with Thompson Tweedy. They located in Warrick County, Indiana, on a farm about 3 miles northwest of Boonville. Two sons.—— William C. of Stoddard County, Missouri, and James C., of this city—were born to them.

Mrs. Tweedy, united with the General Baptist Church in 1857, later uniting with the Christian Order.

The funeral was held at Wesley Chapel, conducted by Rev. L. W. Spann of Boonville, and was attended by a large number of friends.
