Funeral services for Carolyn Ann Longino Leger will be Monday, June 17, 2013 at 12:30 p.m.in the Trinity Baptist Church in Turkey Creek. Burial will be in the Griffin Hill Cemetery in Lone Pine under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie.
Ms. Leger, age 61, of Turkey Creek, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte. She was preceded in death by her parents, John C. and Donnie Shumate Longino and two grandchildren, Brooklyn Hunley and Lizzie Johnson.
She is survived by seven children, Nina Leger of Plain Dealing, LA, Michael Leger and wife, Lisa, of Newton, TX, Norma L. Fontenot and husband, Ryan, of Turkey Creek, Lorie Johnson and husband, Dexter, of Lone Pine, Joey Ducote and wife, Kelly, of Turkey Creek, Curtis Leger and wife, Misti, of Livingston, TX and Michelle Ducote Hunley of Turkey Creek; five brothers, Gerald Longino of Centerville, J.C. Longino of Centerville, Gene Longino and wife, Tenia, of Pine Prairie, Roy Longino and wife, Peggy, of St. Landry and Harris Longino and wife, Kathy, of Pine Prairie; seventeen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Trinity Baptist Church on Sunday, June 16, 2013 from 5 p.m. until and on Monday, June 17, 2013 from 8 a.m. until service time.
