Alex was born on October 24, 1926 in Salt Lake City to Alexander and Elsie Graham.
After honorable service to our country in World War II (Pacific Theater) and helping pave the way for the invasion of Okinawa as a Navy Seabee, Alex returned to Salt Lake City, married Geanne Spanton October 23rd 1948 and raised a family.
A skilled and uncompromising craftsman with wood, Alex spent his career building and beautifying many homes and venues in Utah.

Alex's passions after retirement were golf, fishing and gardening. When he wasn't caring for his family, friends, or home he could be found playing, watching or reading about golf or off somewhere fishing.
Alex's unfailing love and interest in others touched all who knew him.
Alex leaves behind a loving family including his wife of 55 years Geanne Spanton Graham, his son Alex (Ada), daughters Vickie (Barbara) Graham and Ellen (Dan) Kennedy, two grandsons Alex and Graham Kennedy, brothers and sisters: James & Varna Graham, Millie Lamb, Gordon Graham, Glenn & Donna Spanton, Carol & George Greco, Burt & Carol Spanton, John Spanton, Dale & Julie Spanton.
He had many nieces, nephews, good friends and neighbors whose company he cherished.
A brief graveside service will be held Thursday, January 22 at 2 P.M. at Elysian Gardens Cemetery, 4580 South 1075 East, followed by a celebration for Alex at the home of his daughter Ellen at 1636 E. Millbrook Rd. (3610 So.) Salt Lake City.
In lieu of flowers, please honor Alex with a donation in his name to the Salt Lake Homeless Shelter. Funeral Directors: The Holbrook Mortuary.
