BLOUNTVILLE - Royal Benjamin Lovelace, 85, 132 Sanders St., died Sunday
(Nov. 28, 1999) at his residence.

A native of Johnson City, he was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a
son of the late Royal Benjamin and Stella Maupin Lovelace.

Mr. Lovelace was employed in the aviation business in many capacities during
his lifetime and held multiple F.A.A. certifications.

He was a member of the First Church of God, Johnson City.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Lovelace was preceded in death by one
brother and one sister.

Surviving are his wife, Wanda Guinn Lovelace, of the home; a son, Ben
Lovelace, Atlanta, Ga.; a daughter, Lynn Gouge, Johnson City; a brother,
Harmon Lovelace, Johnson City; a sister, Inez Ferguson, Augusta, Ga.; one
grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Morris-Baker Funeral Home,
Johnson City.

Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the South Chapel of the
funeral home with the Rev. Dan Stansberry officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Monte Vista
Burial Park.

Family and friends will meet at the cemetery for those services.

Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
