Following Illness

Mrs. Clara Rebecca Hatch Egan, 62, died Thursday at 12:30 p. m. at her home of an lingering illness. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Mrs. Egan has been a teacher in the Sunday school, Primary Assn. and Young Ladies Mutual Improvement Assn. of the South Bountiful ward. She also served as president of the ward Relief society and has been an active temple worker for three years. She was a member of the South Davis stake Relief society board and for five years she was superintendent of the Primary Assn., South Davis stake.

She was born July 11, 1884, a daughter of Gilbert Stuart and Ellen Moss Hatch. She was married to Charles Merritt Egan in the Salt Lake temple, Sept. 30 1906.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter and four sons, Mrs. Byron Al Ray, Charles S. Egan, Delbert H. Egan, and Dr. Merritt H. Egan, all of Salt Lake City; Lt. Carl H. Egan, Bountiful and two grandchildren; two brothers, Lawrence Hatch, Woods Cross, Reed M. Hatch, Bountiful; five sisters Mrs. F. D. Muir, Ardmore, Okla.; Mrs. R. C. Brasz, Salt Lake; Mrs. Leland Sessions, Bountiful; Mrs. Stanley G. Haacke, Woods Cross, and Mrs. Horace Barber, Los Angeles Cal.

Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Rebecca Hatch Egan, 62, who died Thursday at her home following a lingering illness, will be conducted Monday at 2 p. m. in the South Bountiful ward chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Alma Dorius Eakle, Bishop.
