Ronald Ray Axelson went to be with the Lord June 4, 2013. Ron was born March 13, to George Axelson and Mable (Clements) Axelson in Hays, Ks. He had three brothers, who preceded him in death, George, John, and Bob. He was married to Alice Musgrove on September 23, 1955 in Hays Kansas. From this union they were blessed with five children, Douglas, Rae Lynn, Dennis, George, and James. Later two more children were added to their family, Danielle and Dennis Jr.

Ron grew up in the Bemis near Codell, Ks. His family was in the oil business. Ron worked in the oil field all his life in Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Wyoming, and Montana doing various oilfield jobs. He was injured in 1978 and took an early retirement with N.L. Industry. Ron is preceded in death by his father, mother, brothers and son, Dennis. He leaves behind his wife, Alice, Humboldt SD., son Doug, Humboldt SD., Rae Lynn (Donnie) Ponca City, OK., George (Kelly) Hartford ., ,SD., James (Michelle) Marion, SD., Danielle (Derek) Kansas City, MO., and Dennis Jr. (Tammy) of Sioux Falls, SD., Ron also had 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

A private service for Ron was held earlier this week. Ron was cremated and his ashes inurned at the Natoma City Cemetery.
