Elizabeth Smith is believed to be the daughter of Isaac Smith and Elizabeth Jane Furr. (However, I am searching for proof of it.) Her marriage record states that she was born in North Carolina, where Isaac and Elizabeth (Furr) Smith lived. Elizabeth married (m1) Elias Steen in 1818 in Mississippi. After Elias died, she married (m2) Isham Smith. Elias and Elizabeth had eleven children, all born in Rankin Co., Mississippi:
(1) Isaac S. Steen (b. 15 Jan 1819, d. c. 1902 in DeWitt Co., TX)
(2) William Steen (1821-)
(3) Melissa Steen (b. 22 Jan 1823)
(4) Nancy Jane Steen (b. 24 May 1825)
(5) Nathaniel H. Steen (b. 14 Aug 1827)
(6) Eliza Louisa Steen (b. 7 Nov 1829)
(7)Isam R. Steen (b. 13 Dec 1831)
(8) Acenith Steen (b. 13 Dec. 1834, d. 21 May 1923, Rankin Co.)
(9) Mary Ann Steen (b. 9 Feb 1837)
(10) Elias Estes Steen (b. 27 Dec 1839, d. Texas)
(11) Silas V. Steen (b. 23 Nov 1842).

A note on MSgen website by Joel Stanford Hays states that Elias Steen and his siblings and their spouses are all buried in Florence Cemetery, but I do not know if there is a photo, or if Mr. Hays saw the burial markers. I found no contact for Mr. Hays. I have made Florence Cemetery as place of burial, according to Mr. Hays' documation, and have requested a photo. Please contact me if you know of her burial marker.
