Big Al was an Engineer at Honua Kai Resort. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Akana; sons, Major Akana, Marshall Akana; daughter, Laci Akana; brothers, Aaron (Delia) Akana, Chester (Nancy) Akana; sisters, Karen (Miles) Nagasako, Carolyn (Carlton) Flores, Mugsie Akana, and Denise Akana.
