Mary Louise Mitchell, 66, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2005, peacefully. She was born in Clayton, NM on Wednesday, July 13, 1938. Mary Louise is survived by her two children, Deborah Mitchell of Alice Springs, Australia and John Mitchell of Los Alamos, NM; grandchildren, Lincoln and Cheyenne; brother, George Gonzales and wife, Jean; sisters, Ida Gonzales, Helen Sosa and husband, Jesus and Margaret Dominguez and husband, Lawrence; numerous nieces and nephews; and many special friends. Mary Louise is preceded in death by her parents M. E. and Felicita S. Gonzales; sisters, Elis Garcia, Frances Vigil and Juanita Valdez; and brother, Julian Gonzales. Mary Louise grew up on a ranch near Clayton, NM. During the 1950s she moved to Albuquerque where she worked for APD and Sandia National Laboratories. After marriage to Larry Mitchell, they moved to Los Alamos where she worked for Los Alamos National Laboratories. After her retirement in the late 80s, she settled back in Albuquerque. She was a member of the Shrine of St. Bernadette's Catholic Church. A Memorial Rosary will be recited on Thursday, 7:00 p.m., at Sangre de Cristo Catholic Church, 8109 Candelaria Rd. NE, and a second Memorial Rosary will be recited on Friday, 7:00 p.m., at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Clayton, NM. Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Clayton Memorial Cemetery. French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE 843-6333
