Weymer Lee, named for his Uncle Henry Weyner Lee, McLean Va Sherrif,was raised in his Grandmother Lee's home 505 West Broad Street in Falls Church. His parent divorced while he was a baby and caused a great sensation in the town. Neighbors took side against each other. His mother was hounded out of her Justice Department job by J Edgar Hoover, and although had an education in banking, worked for the Marriots Sr's in their first store, as their prized waitress. He went to private school in, Rising Son Maryland to get away from the rumors at home. Weymer's best friend Paul Lindenhauer, was the son of Eleanor Roosevelt's secretary during their stay at the White House, and got to visit it with Paul. At 17 he joined the army air corps and became a paratrooper. He was on a ship deployed to be the invasion force of Japa. The bomb was dropped, and he was happy to be a part of the Occupation of Japa. he loved Japan, and could make sashi, and speak some Japanese his whole life. He went to American University and became a Real Estate Broker in McLean Va. He loved hunting, collected gun and horses. After his divorce, he became a gourmet chef. His Aunt was style editor of the Washington Post and had given Julia Child her first job, he was quite proud of that. Later in life, he wanted to open a Vineyard in the Pan Handle of West Virginia near Winchester Va. He collected cars, retired at 40,and read psychology endlessly.
He was an artist, as well. Lover of Emmerson's poetry, and Civil War Historian.
