BOARD OF SUPERVISORS -PROCEEDINGS OF THE ANNUAL MEETING 1885
Mr Turner offered the following resolution:
Resolved, That Peter Lezotte be allowed $15.00
for a tomb stone to be placed at the grave of
Peter Rock, a dead soldier, and also E. 5 . Wood
be allowed $10 00 for coffin; also that $10.00 be
allowed to Mrs. Peter Rook, for expenses of the
burial of her husband.
Adopted.
Mr. Williams offered tho following preamble
and resolution and on motion the same was
adopted and is as follows:
Whereas, Application has been made for
headstone? for deceased soldiers to this Board
at different times, and whereas the U. S. Government
will upon application to the Quartermastter-
General U. S. A. , at Washington, D. C,
forward to the nearest railroad station free of
charge headstones for all such soldiers, There-
Resolved, That hereafter no headstones will paid
for by this county.
