Funeral services were held Friday afternoon in the Richfield third ward chapel for Mrs. Julia Emma Peterson, 87, a Richfield Pioneer who died at her home in Richfield February 13.
Bishop Alex Jensen presided at the services. Speakers were Mrs. Sarah H. Gardner, Kenneth Isabell and Bishop Jensen. The hymns "My Jesus as Thou Wilt", "Abide with Me", and "Rock of Ages", were sung by a quartet composed of Mrs. Otto L. Anderson, Mrs. Roy Christensen, Mrs. Floyd Bell, Mrs. Stanley Johnson, Clarence Littlewood, Chas. A. Jackman, Talmage DeLange, and Roy Christensen, accompanied by Mrs. Wm. Osborne. Talmage DeLange sang "Lay My Head Beneath A Rose", "That Wonderful Mother of Mine", was sung by Mrs. Stanley Johnson. Henry Peterson offered the invocation; the benediction was by Lewis Jensen.
Burial was in the Richfield cemetery. George Sorensen dedicated the grave.
Pallbearers were grandson, Relief Society members carried the floral tributes.
