LAZIRKO Esther Lazirko, age 89, of Grove City, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Grant Medical Center. She retired from Lazarus where she was a 20 year club member. Esther was a member of Grove City United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her parents Carl and Edna Achtermann, brothers Edward and Ralph Achtermann, sisters Edna Seaman and Naomi Goodson. Survived by her children, Jean (Bill) Smedley and Mike (Carolyn) Lazirko; brothers, Robert Achtermann and Sam (Betty) Achtermann; grandchildren, Jason (Anne) Smedley, Jeremy (Shannon) Smedley, Christopher (Miranda) Lazirko, Sarah Lazirko (Michael Chavis), Stephanie Lazirko; great grandchildren, Arianna, Morgan and Olivia Smedley, RyLee and Isibeal Smedley, Katie and Madison Lazirko, Maya and Malia Chavis, Scott and Emily Lazirko and Brock Romshak; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may visit on Sunday from 2-5 PM at THE SPENCE-MILLER FUNERAL HOME 2697 Columbus St. Grove City. Funeral will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Grove City United Methodist Church 2650 Columbus St. Grove City, with Pastor Dennis Miller and Dr. Carl Wiley officiating. Interment will follow at Grove City Cemetery.
