FLINTSTONE - Carl Lee Boyd, 70, passed away Friday, Nov. 19, 2004, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
He was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to the late Russell Lee and Ida Brewer Boyd.
He was retired from the U.S. Navy where he served from 1951-1976.
He was currently employed with Astec Industries where he had worked for the past 28 years.
He had resided in several parts of the country during his Navy career and after retiring he resided in Brunswick, Georgia. He has resided in the Flintstone community since 1976.
He was a member of Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sharron Elizabeth Tanner Boyd.
Survivors include his wife, Ana Fresica Soriano Boyd of Flintstone; sons and daughters-in-law, Eric Lee and Mary Ellen Boyd of Flintstone, Dr. Stacy Dean and Miriam Boyd of Chickamauga, Georgia, Carlos Soriano of Flintstone; brothers, Charlie, Kenneth, Glenn and Russell Lee Boyd Jr., all of Muskogee; grandchildren, Brandi, Amanda, Ashley, Drew, Brennan, Melanie and Meredith; great-grandchild, Caleb; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 22, in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Darrell Henry and pastor David Gonzales officiating.
Burial will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park, Rossville.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. today and Monday morning prior to the service.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Sharron Elizabeth Tanner Boyd.
