Mr. Brimmer was born in the town of Ellisburg, Oct. 5. 1838, the son of the late William and Nancy Brimmer. His parents came to the town of Ellisburg from Albany county with an ox team over 96 years ago. His family moved to Hounsfield in 1861 when Mr. Brimmer was 23 years old. Mr. Brimmer was one of a family of 12 children, only two of whom now survive. He had lived in Hounsfield since '61. He had followed farming as his occupation since coming to this section, retiring a few years ago.
He leaves a widow and two daughters, Mrs. Frank Taylor and Mrs. Frank Jock, both of the town of Hounsfield; one son, B. L. Brimmer, of Watertown, and two brothers. Henry C. Brimmer of this city and Porter Brimmer of California, the last of the original family.
The funeral services will he held from the family home in Hounsfield Wednesday morning at 11. Burial will be made at Brookside cemetery.
