When a boy of seven years, moved to Russia with his parents. In 1877 when Adam was 67 years of age he came with his family to America, settling in Antelope Valley, McIntosh Co., Dakota Territory. Upon arrival friends and relatives helped build them a sod house. His wife died in the spring of 1897 and he died in the fall of the same year, both were laid to rest in the Berlin Church cemetery.
