Job Sherman came to Lanesborough from Newtown, Connecticut with his parents, Joel and Ruth Sherman, and several siblings in 1762.In the summer of 1777, Job served for 26 days in the Continental Army under Captain David Wheeler.
On October 11, 1781, Job married Lois R. Bradley in Lanesborough. Job and Lois had eleven children.Job is listed on the US Censuses for 1790, 1800, and 1810 for Lanesborough, Massachusetts.


He died at age 57 in Lanesborough.
