One of eight children, he was born June 2, 1920 to Lewis and Zula Boyer in St. Joseph, Missouri.
He married Mary Jane Rainey in 1941. She preceded him in death in 2009.
Virgil served his country during WWII, worked for the Missouri Granite Company in St. Joseph and Beatrice Foods Company in Missouri, Iowa, and later in Texas. He spent his life loving his family, serving God, and helping others.
Survivors: sister, Derry (Landrus), Linn Creek, Missouri; daughters, Vicki Yarnell (Jack), Hurst, Texas and Terri GrayEagle, Blanchard, Iowa; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Graveside Services and Inurnment: 10:00 A.M. Monday, Mount Auburn Cemetery.
