John Galbreth passed away Friday at the home of his cousin, Mrs. H. L. Moore at Panora following a lingering illness. Mr. Galbreth has been a cripple since he was two years of age owing to a severe case of infantile paralysis which has been a great handicap throughout life, all though he was very wealthy and did not need to work. He had been living at the Chamberlain hotel in Des Moines for a number of years until a few months ago when he had a stroke and was taken to Panora where his cousin, Mrs. Moore cared for him until his death. He grew to manhood in Yale where he lived after his parents passed away. He had no brothers and sisters. Funeral services were held at the Yale Church of Christ and interment made in the Richland cemetery.
