Funeral services for Carl T. Mueller, 56, of 765 W. Gaskill St., active in civic affairs and labor circles, will be held at 1:30 p. m. Tuesday at the Funeral Home in charge of O. L. Ashburn, pastor of the Bolton Methodist Church. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p. m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be made in Grandview Cemetery in Sebring.
Mr. Mueller, who had been a machinist at the Alliance Machine Co. 38 years, died at 11:08 a. m. Saturday in the City Hospital. He had suffered a heart attack at his home last Monday night.
For the last 14 years, Mr. Mueller was president of Local 2361. United Steel Workers. He had worked several years as chairman of the Alliance CIO March of Dimes and was active in the original fund drive for the City Hospital and in the Alliance Development Corp. He was a member of the advisory committee of the City Hospital.
Mr. Mueller had been a delegate to the Stark County CIO Council for a number of years. He was a member of the Stark County Plastic Surgery committee and had served as a Boy Scout commissioner.
A native of Alliance, Mr. Mueller always lived here and was a member of the Bolton Methodist Church. He was a trustee and a Sunday School teacher.
He is survived by his wife, Fannie of the home; two sons Paul of the home and Richard of Opa Locka, Fla.; three daughters, Mrs. Kathleen Waltz, Mrs. Mary Louise Wilhelm and Mrs. Lillian Quillman of Alliance; four brothers, George of Alliance, Paul and Henry of Sebring and William of Emporium, Pa.; two sisters, Mrs. Teresia Hall of Beloit and Miss Catherine Mueller of Sebring and six grandchildren.
