St Matthews, May 9 [1917] - John Taylor Hane, the youngest child of Albert E Hane, died at the residence of his father about two miles north of this place, at 1 o'clock yesterday morning. The little boy had been critically ill for several days with periods of recurring hope for his recovery. A change for the worse set in yesterday, from which he never rallied. He was seven years of age. The remains were interred at the burial ground of St Paul's Methodist church here yesterday afternoon by the side of his mother, who died when he was only about a year old.
