Switch Engine Hits Man
Adolph Birr, Injured on Grand Trunk Tracks, May Die
Adolph Birr, 1090 Central Avenue, was struck by a Grand Trunk switch engine at the Junction Avenue crossing of the Grand Trunk Railroad at 7:30 oโclock last night. He was removed to Red Cross Hospital and is reported to be in a critical condition. Birr attempted to run across the track in front of the switch engine and sustained internal injuries. His chest was crushed and both arms were broken.
