She grew up on Montgomery Road outside Ellicott City, Maryland, second daughter in a family with 5 other boys. Colleen had gone to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Elementary School, Archbishop Keough High School in Baltimore, and then two years at nearby Catonsville Community College.
Hers was a spirit of cheer and celebration, and preferred the country life. She was interested in photography and dance. Such was her propensity to help others that she led a troop of Girl and sometimes babysat for free. And, she was a woman who was drawn to the woods. She had backpacked with her family and was planning to enroll in forestry school.
She was a kind, gentle and artistic individual. She was deeply mourned by her parents, family and the community.
