Alex Distel was the son of John and Elizabeth (Abelhaus) Distel-in addition to Alex, there were 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Alex married Ethel W (d. 1975) with one child resulting from this marriage. He married Catherine Hoff in Windsor, Colorado on August 21, 1976.
Mr. Distel was a U. S. Navy World War II veteran. He worked at Safeway for 40 years, retiring as a meat department manager and butcher. In his retirement, he worked in auto sales at Rush Motors.
Alex Distel was a member of B.P.O. Elks, the American Legion, and the National Rifle Association. He was a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.
